RFEOI launched for Walvis Bay Industrial Development PPP in Namibia

The Namibian Port Authority has launched a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) seeking a private partner for the Walvis Bay Industrial development concession. The project aims to boost the activity on the new container terminal by developing supporting infrastructure and Special Economic Zone (SEZ).

The private partner will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Management and operation of the existing New Container Terminal (NCT) at the Port of Walvis Bay;
  • Development and deployment of a National Single Window facility; 
  • Development and operation of a Special Economic Zone near Walvis Bay.
