Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC) has launched a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) seeking a private partner for the development of Shuweihat S4 Reverse Osmosis (RO) Independent Water Project in the United Arab Emirates.
The Shuweihat S4 RO project involves the development, financing, construction, operation, maintenance, and ownership of a standalone greenfield RO seawater desalination plant with a capacity of 70 million gallons per day of water output. The aim is to enhance the security of potable water supply in the Al Dhafra Region, the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The project will be adjacent to the existing Shuweihat S3 IPP Project, within the Shuweihat power and water complex, approximately 250 km west of the city of Abu Dhabi.
