Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) has issued the Request for Expression of Interest (RFEOI) for the development of the Jubail – Buraydah IWTP project of the Eastern Supply Group.
The project involves the development of the Independent Water Transmission Pipeline between the cities of Jubail and Buraydah and is part of the Water Transmission Systems (WTS) network. The WTS aims to provide connectivity between the consumption centers and the upcoming desalination plants. The Jubail – Buraydah IWTP will have a transmission capacity of up to 650,000 cubic meters per day, and a length of 603 km.
SWPC will select a developer or developer consortium to implement the project on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis. The developer will provide the entire transmission capacity to SWPC under a Water Transmission Agreement (WTA), signed for a 35 years term. The group of project advisors includes Synergy Consulting IFA Inc. as Lead and Financial Adviser, Amer Al Amr Law Firm as Legal Adviser and Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG as Technical Adviser.
