Yangon City Development Committee under the Yangon Region Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar has received an unsolicited proposal to develop an Industrial Park with essential ancillary infrastructure in New Urban Development of Yangon City. The proposed project includes both public works and the concession of infrastructure. Under public works, proposed construction projects include a Yangon River Bridge, municipal roads, and municipal infrastructure for resettlement areas. For concession of infrastructure, an Industrial Park, water treatment plant, wastewater treatment plant, power plant, and commercial and residential land area have been proposed. A Swiss Challenge Tender Committee has been formed to oversee and manage the Swiss Challenge process.
The Committee has launched a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) to participate in this Swiss Challenge tender process.
