Rail Projects Victoria in Australia is seeking a private partner to deliver the Sunshine/Albion Package (SAP) for the Melbourne Airport Rail (MAR). The SAP will primarily comprise of works in and around Sunshine and Albion stations, extending to the southern end of the Albion-Jacana corridor to facilitate the MAR alignment from Albion Station north towards Melbourne Airport.
SAP is the first of several work packages to go out to market through a robust, multi-staged procurement process. The first step in transforming Sunshine Station will include a new accessible pedestrian concourse that will enable transfers at either end of the platforms and double the number of lifts available, with extra ticketing gates and weather-protected platform extensions also included.
