Tatweer Buildings Company (TBC) on behalf of the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia has issued a request for expression of interest seeking private developers for school PPP wave 2 project. The project includes design, finance, build, commissioning, and maintenance of sixty (60) schools located in Madinah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The scope of works involves the development of multipurpose halls and sports fields in line with the educational objectives and strategy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Pre-qualified bidders will receive the Request for Proposals (RFP) for Wave 2 at the beginning of the second quarter of 2020, and proposals shall be submitted by the end of the third quarter of 2020. It is anticipated, that the evaluation and selection process will start by the fourth quarter of 2020 and construction will start by June 2021 and the schools' availability will commence by June 2023.
The deadline to submit the interest is December 26, 2019. The concession period including construction for the project is 23 years.
