RFEOI for viability study of airport concession in Malawi

The World Bank Group has launched a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) seeking technical adviser to conduct a viability assessment for selective airports in Malawi. The outcome of this assessment will inform government decision making with respect to the development and procurement options for potential public-private partnerships that can meet infrastructure investment and operational service needs in the country's airports.

The scope of works includes

  •  Demand and Market Assessment
  • Airport Infrastructure Investment Requirements
  • Organizational, Operational and Financial Review of airport management and operating entities in Malawi (i.e., Department of Civil Aviation and Airport Development Limited)
  • PPP Options Assessment and Recommendations, including a preliminary market sounding
  • Institution and Regulatory review
  • Recommendations and Implementation of Roadmap and Support
