The Victorian Government (State), Australia, has launched a Request for Expressions of Interest for the Suburban Roads Upgrade Program (SRU Program).

A key part of this transport initiative is the establishment of a large-scale, strategically focussed investment program – the Suburban Roads Upgrade Program (SRU Program) – to transform Melbourne’s outer suburban arterial road network and address the gap in infrastructure investment generated by rapid land use change.

The first stage of the SRU Program – the Western Roads Upgrade Project – successfully achieved contractual and financial close in December 2017 and is currently in delivery.

The next stages of the SRU Program are the South Eastern Roads Upgrade Project and the Northern Roads Upgrade Project, involving the design, construction and financing of capital projects, rehabilitation works and road asset maintenance services in Melbourne’s outer south eastern and northern suburbs respectively.
