Ghana’s Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry has inaugurated a Technical Committee to facilitate the implementation of the project. The committee is comprised of representatives from the Ministry of Finance (MOF), Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) and Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC)

GE (General Electric) Healthcare has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support and advise the development of the project. The MoU covered five Diagnostic Centres of Excellence, with the Korle-Bu centre to be developed first, as well as other health infrastructure initiatives

The International Finance Corporation has been appointed as lead arranger for the project and intends to directly provide a mix of senior and subordinated loans of up to €125-million, in addition to mobilising up to €275-million of debt from other institutions.
