Resumption of tolls on Cartagena - Barranquilla corridor in Colombia

The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) has announced that a gradual resumption of tolls for categories III and VII on the Cartagena - Barranquilla corridor has been determined.

Cartagena - Barranquilla corridor concession consisting of the design, construction, financing, operation, and improvement of the Cartagena - Barranquilla corridor. The term of the concession contract is 25 years. ANI will continue to look for alternatives for the integration of rates for municipal vehicles. The project also includes a socio-economic assessment of the users of the Cartagena-Barranquilla Corridor, in accordance with censuses and origin-destination surveys, which will begin their development with the assistance of the City Hall of the Municipality of Puerto. 

The Cartagena-Barranquilla and Circunvalar de la Prosperidad project entered the O&M phase on 27 May 2022. The Cartagena Barranquilla Coastal road project covers 146 km of roads that connect the two main cities of the Caribbean with a 110-km corridor and covers a second section called Circunvalar de la Prosperidad, between Malambo and Barranquilla, 36 km of the dual carriageway.
