Infrastructure Ontario (IO) has closed the Request for Proposals (RFP) stage for the Trillium Health Partners (THP) Broader Redevelopment–Queensway Health Centre project in Canada.

The expansion at the Future Home of The Gilgan Family Queensway Health Centre aims to create a dedicated, modern facility for complex care and rehabilitation services. This modern center will provide patients with specialized care and recovery in a purpose-built environment. The project includes the construction of a standalone central utility plant and a new parking structure as a separate early works project.

The project is being executed using a Build-Finance Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The selection process considered factors such as construction expertise and financial capability to handle a project of this scale and complexity.  IO and THP will assess the RFP submission and, if successful, engage in negotiations for the contract terms. Construction is anticipated to commence in 2024. IO and THP are collaborating with the Ontario Ministry of Health to realize this project.
