Request for Proposal Issued for broadband feasibility and engineering study project in Greenbelt City

The City of Greenbelt government has sought proposals for a broadband feasibility and engineering study in Greenbelt City, Maryland, USA.

The objective of issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to furnish the City with essential insights to assess the viability of this project within the current technological and economic landscape. If deemed feasible, the goal is to meticulously evaluate, opt for, and execute the most effective strategies for enhancing broadband connectivity across Greenbelt, transforming these networks into valuable assets for both community and economic advancement. This initiative envisions achieving widespread broadband coverage scalable to 1 Gigabit for residences, businesses, and key institutions while recognizing the potential need for a 10 Gigabit backbone. The city covers a land area of 6.23 square miles, encompassing 25 miles of road. The average population density stands at 4,033 individuals per square mile, with a significant proportion residing in multi-dwelling units and townhomes.
