The PPP Department of the Ministry of Finance of Ethiopia announced the Request for Prequalification (RFQ) for the Integrated Diagnostic Center (IDC) PPP project at St. Peter Comprehensive Specialized Hospital in Addis Ababa.
The PPP project aimed to establish an integrated diagnostic center offering continuous laboratory, pathology, and imaging services. Due to a lack of qualified bidders meeting all RFQ requirements, the PPP authority canceled the initial bid process and has now issued a new RFQ for the project. The Ministry of Finance PPP-D intends to pre-qualify potential bidders possessing the necessary experience, expertise, and financial resources for the swift implementation of the Integrated Diagnostic Center (IDC) through the PPP model, marking the initial phase of the procurement process. Subsequent stages will involve Request for Proposal (RFP) submissions exclusively from pre-qualified bidders.
The announcement indicated that bidders can engage in the prequalification process individually or as part of consortia. It strongly encourages international bidders to collaborate with local private partners.
The deadline for submitting RFQ applications is set for November 13, 2023. More information about this tender can be found on our Business Opportunity page here.
