A waste management company, Ellgia has signed an agreement with Multifuel Energy (50:50 JV of SSE plc and Wheelabrator Technologies Inc.) to supply Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) for Ferrybridge waste-to-energy projects. Ferrybridge Multifuel plants 1 and 2 are located on land owned by SSE at Ferrybridge ‘C’ Power Station near Knottingley in West Yorkshire.
Ellgia will supply sufficient RDF to fulfill the requirements of both plants every month.
