Shelf 119 Multiestrategia Investment Fund, managed by Quadra Capital, has won the auction for Companhia Docas do Espírito Santo (Codesa) with a winning bid of BRL106 million (US$22.73 million). In addition to the bid amount, the fund will acquire Codesa's stake with investments up to BRL326 million (US$69.93 million).
Codesa is responsible for managing and commercially exploring the organized ports of Vitória and Barra do Riacho located in Aracruz, North of Espírito Santo. The concession period for the contract is 35 years. Quadra Capital will also be obligated to invest BRL855 million (US$184.32 million) for port infrastructure managed by Codesa.
