Puerto Rico launches tender for Legacy Generation Assets

The Puerto Rico Public-Private Partnerships Authority (P-3), together with the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA), has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to companies and consortia that may be interested in managing, operating, maintaining, asset managing and decommissioning, one or more of the base-load generation plants and gas turbine peaking plants located throughout the Island. 

The Legacy Generation Assets have a total system-wide PREPA-owned dependable generation capacity of approximately 3,600 MW. 

The deadline for the submission of documents to participate in the tender is on September 15, 2020.
