The National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) has approved the public notice for Lot 1 for the concession of the Integrated Highways of Paraná in Brazil.
An auction will take place for six lots associated with the road network that connects the port of Paranaguá, the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba, and the Ponte da Amizade on the Paraguay border. The contract duration will be 30 years, with the first lot encompassing a total length of 473 km, consisting of the BR-277/373/376/476/PR and the PR-418/423/427. The main advantages of this project include the construction of 344 km of dual carriageways, 81 km of additional lanes, 38 km of third lanes, and 41 km of service roads. Additionally, the project will feature 11 pedestrian bridges, 60 bus stops, and 70 special structures.
Lot 1 includes 5 toll plazas: Imbituva, São Luiz do Purunã, Iratí, Porto Amazonas, and Lapa, which will undergo restoration and modernization. The project introduces innovative technologies for monitoring and assistance, including OCR cameras for license plate recognition, Variable Message Signs (VMP), comprehensive lighting in critical areas, and an Automatic Weighing System (WIM).
