Public Hearing on terminal leasing at Port of Vila do Conde/PA

The National Waterway Transport Agency (ANTAQ) has held a Public Hearing to receive contributions, subsidies and suggestions regarding leasing the terminal at the Port of Vila do Conde/PA, VDC29 in Brazil.

The planned activities in the region include the handling, storage, and shipment of solid and vegetable bulk materials. The site is identified as Greenfield. The prospective lessee must undertake the essential investments to enable the VDC29 terminal to achieve an operational capacity of 7 million tons per year for ship loading. The lease term for the area is anticipated to be 25 years, commencing in 2024 and concluding in 2049, with the option for successive extensions, allowing for a maximum lease period of up to 70 years.
