The Government of Paraná has launched public consultation notice for the Nova Ferroeste cargo corridor PPP project in Brazil. The project aims to collect cargo from Paraguay and Argentina. Along with the public consultation, the authority also published a draft notice for the concession contract.
The selected partner will be responsible for the development of 1,567 kilometers long rail corridor from Paranaguá to Maracaju with a branch line between Cascavel and Foz do Iguaçu in Brazil, as well as a 263-km branch between Cascavel and Chapecó. The auction for the project is expected to take place between October and December. The minimum bid amount to be placed on the auction date is BRL110 million (US$21.36 million).
The deadline to submit the public contributions is July 15, 2022.
