The São Paulo State Transport Agency has opened a public consultation to receive suggestions on the project for the concession of the road system Lote Noroeste in Brazil.
The project involves the expansion, operation, conservation, maintenance and necessary investment for the road system covering 49 municipalities in São Paulo. The roads have a total length of 1,022 kilometers and include roads, accesses, viaducts and interventions. The concession will be awarded for a period of 30 years and foresees BRL11.9 billion (US$2.15 billion) in investment. The project will improve roads, which pass through cities such as São Carlos, Araraquara, Sertãozinho, Jaboticabal, Bebedouro, São José do Rio Preto, Olímpia, Barretos, Penápolis, among others.
