The city of Sapucaia do Sul in Brazil has launched a public consultation for the street lighting public-private partnership (PPP) project in Sapucaia do Sul, a municipality in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The objective of the project is to modernize the nearly 12,000 points of the city's IP park. The project will result in the improvement of public security and quality of life for almost 140 thousand inhabitants; modernization of the highlight lighting of municipal monuments; reduction of greenhouse gas emissions; and increase in investments and job creation.
The consultation process was launched on January 29, 2020 and will receive contributions from society until February 27, 2020.
The estimated investment for the project is BRL 61 million (US$ 14.35 million) and the concession period for the project is 13 years.
