The City of Sao Paulo has announced a public consultation for Schools Renovation PPP project in Sao Mateus, Brazil.
The project involves the requalification, maintenance and care of 90 school units in Sao Mateus. The estimated investment of the project is BRL258.7 million (US$51.12 million) from which BRL207 million (US$41.3 million) will be provided by the Government. The project intends to adapt schools to technical standards of accessibility, performance and safety, and recover the entire infrastructure of buildings, in addition to promoting more comfort for 50 thousand students and teachers. Moreover, the selected private partner will be responsible for carrying out services such as cleaning, surveillance, maintenance, care of green areas and IT infrastructure for all units. The entire period of the partnership is expected to last for 25 years.
