The Municipality of Erechim has launched a public consultation for the public lighting concession in the Brazilian municipality.

The project involves the development, modernization, expansion, energy efficiency, operation and maintenance of the municipal public lighting network. The lighting park will be larger starting with 15,227 points and reaching up to 19,692 points, but it will also consume less with energy efficiency at 51.47% of current consumption. 

The winning concessionaire will be responsible for the management of the services and expansion of the lighting park in the first 2 years. The estimated gross value of the contract is BRL133.89 million (US$25.48 million).

The consultation will be available to the public and potential bidders until March 11, 2022. The studies for the public lighting concession were carried out by Radar PPP, Machado Meyer Sendacz and Opice Advogados and KMR Energia e Meio Ambiente Ltda.
