The city of Petrolina in Brazil has opened a public consultation for the municipal lighting network in the city. The project includes modernization, efficiency, expansion, operation and maintenance services of the municipal public lighting network in the city of Petrolina located in the state of Piaui, Brazil. The lighting system will be developed using LED lights.
The PPP concession is structured by National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) with the support of the consortium formed by the companies Accenture do Brasil Ltda and Moysés & Pires Law Firm. The estimated value of the concession is BRL 300 million (US$ 58.77 million). The concession period of the project is 20 years.
Any citizen or organization can contribute suggestions, comments or criticism to the proposed model of the public lighting system from December 5, 2019 to January 10, 2020. The public hearing will be held on December 19.
