The New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) has sought proposals from qualified engineering and design firms with experience in marine infrastructure for its Marine Highway Project in the USA.

The Marine Highway Project, partly funded by the US Department of Transportation Maritime Administration (MARAD), aims to enhance the capacity of NYCEDC-managed docks and piers for freight transit. This aligns with NYCEDC's goals of improving waterway transport, reducing emissions from truck-based transportation, and minimizing road wear and tear. NYCEDC sought experienced marine engineering firms to design infrastructure improvements at waterfront sites in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx to support freight vessel transit and cargo transloading. The selected firms will also be responsible for conducting an NEPA environmental review concurrently with the design engineering tasks.

The deadline for submitting a proposal electronically for this RFP is March 14, 2024. Additional details regarding this tender can be accessed through our Business Opportunity page here.
