The National Waterway Transport Agency (ANTAQ) concluded the Simplified Selection Process for the Itajaí Port terminal in Brazil.

ANTAQ received three administrative appeals.

  1. The first appeal, submitted by MMS Empreendimentos, was rejected, affirming the decision of the ANTAQ Port Tenders and Leases Committee (CPLA/ANTAQ) to deem the proposal submitted by the initial proponent as unenforceable in the technical-operational aspect;
  2. Another appeal, filed by Livramento Holding S/A, was dismissed as the selection process notice does not prohibit the participation of companies that hold a substantial share of the market; and
  3. The appeal presented by Mada Araujo Asset Management Ltda was accepted, overturning the CPLA decision that disqualified the submitted proposal and declaring the proponent as the winner of the selection process.
