The Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) has signed the project agreements of the Juranah Independent Strategic Water Reservoir (ISWR) Project in Makkah City, Saudi Arabia.
The successful consortium for the project comprises Vision International Investment Company, Gulf Investment Corporation G.S.C, and TAQA. The strategic storage capacity is set at 2,000,000 m3, while the operational tank capacity will be 500,000 m3. The Juranah strategic storage initiative aims to improve water supply chains, serving both the residents and visitors of Makkah City, as well as the Hajj & Umrah pilgrims.
The project will follow the Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) system, with commercial operations expected to commence in Q2 of 2027.
