Peru's private investment promotion agency, Proinversion, has launched a tender process to hire a transaction advisor (TA) for the 'Longitudinal de la Sierra road concession - Section 4'.

The TA will have to advise the PRO INTEGRATION committee to launch the tender process and award the project. Specifically the TA will have to:

• conduct a financial and economic assessment of the project,
• identify the risks associated to the project, its allocation and its impact on the viability of the project
• evaluation and quantification of commitments of the bidders

The TA will also have to promote the project to potential investors.

The road will run through: Huancayo - Izcuchaca - Mayocc - Ayacucho / Ayacucho - Andahuaylas - Pte Sahuinto / Dv. Pisco - Huaytará - Ayacucho.

The project comprises the rehabilitation and the upgrading works (117 km), regular intital maintenance (280km) and operation and continuous maintenance of (970 kms) in order to conserve the highway at established levels of service. The concesion contract is expected to have a period of 25 years.
