The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) has included the Co-financed Private Initiative "New Central Military Hospital" in the private investment promotion process in Peru.
The US$200 million initiative is being promoted by PROINVERSIÓN on behalf of the Ministry of Defense. The concession period spans 30 years, with 4 years allocated for design and construction and 26 years for operation and maintenance. The objective of awarding and granting the project is to plan, construct, sustain, and operate the new hospital, benefiting over 270,000 members of the Peruvian Army and their families. The concession encompasses both green coat and gray coat services. Green coat services include comprehensive hemodialysis and laboratory services, while gray coat services encompass the maintenance and upkeep of facilities, cleaning and disinfection, food provision, parking lot management, information technology, provision and maintenance of medical equipment, laundry and wardrobe, security, warehouse management and solid waste disposal.
The upcoming Hospital, situated at the current location in Jesús María, Lima, will replace the existing facility, which will be demolished to make room for new infrastructure and improved services. The initiative also involves constructing temporary facilities to ensure uninterrupted care for beneficiaries during the construction of the new hospital.
