Peru's Private investment promotion agency (Proinversión) has approved the final version of the concession contract for the design, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of a wastewater treatment system for the Lake Titicaca basin, located in Puno, in the south-east of Peru.
The receipt of technical proposals and economic offers from the bidders is pending until April 22 with the awarding of the project expected to be done by April 29. The approval of the contract took into account the opinions of the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) in its capacity as project owner and the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) as the governing entity of the private investment policy. In addition, it included the recommendations and comments made by the Comptroller General of the Republic (CGR).
