The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) of Paraguay has announced the construction progress on toll and weighing facilities in Lot 7 of the PY09 project in Paraguay.
The progress work attempts to ensure and extend the route's useful life, whose deterioration owing to excess freight is compensated by the community through taxes. The Consorcio Asunción SA y Asociados is in charge of Lot 7, which corresponds to one of these permanent installations that are now under construction at 478 km. At the same location, but on the other side of the fixed weighing station, a portable scale will also be put in place, and at km 477, Cruce Toledo, in the department of Boquerón, will get a new Highway Police station and a modern toll station.
The toll post registers 15% execution, while the weighing post is 80% projected for civil works.
