Constructora Heisecke has announced the progress on 62 km Lot 1 of the renewed National Route PY09 Transchaco project in Paraguay.
The main project involves redevelopment and maintenance works for the 553 km long PY09 Transchaco route located in Paraguay. The works will be conducted in 4 sections with 2 lots each totaling 8 lots.
Lot 1's work spans km 50 to km 112 and involves the execution of the asphalt folder, which has already covered 50 km of the 62 km total stipulated in the contract. The Ing. Ricardo Centurion, representative of Heisecke Construction, in charge of this lot. The final layers, such as the upgraded subgrade, granular base, and the final paving have already started, on the remaining 12 km.
The project is financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) and is expected to benefit directly 60,000 people and indirectly to nearly 200,000 inhabitants.
The work is expected to be completed by the beginning of Q2 of 2023.
