The Ministry of Infrastructure has announced the progress in the planning of future concessions, particularly of the BR-116/290 road concession in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
The studies are in progress and are expected to end in September. After final review, the project will be submitted to public consultation, which should take place in October. The feasibility study is for the BR-116 stretch between Camaquã and Porto Alegre, while the BR-290 is located between Porto Alegre and Uruguaiana.
In addition to the feasibility studies carried out by BNDES, other road concessions in Rio Grande do Sul are planned until next year. Among them are stretches of BR-285 (Panambi/Ijuí/São Luiz Gonzaga), BR-101 (Jaguarão Bridge) and BR-392 (Porto Xavier Bridge).
