The Government of Bahamas has launched a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) seeking a private developer for the redevelopment of the Marsh Harbour port located in Abaco.
Existing port infrastructure was completely destroyed during hurricane Dorian in 2019. The port acts as the main commercial shipping entry point for Abaco. The concession aims to restore the port infrastructure as well as provide maintenance.
The estimated investment value for the project is US$60 million. Potential private partner or port operator will raise financing for the project and develop the port's infrastructure to increase internal and external demand for port services.
