Translink has launched a global procurement process to select a private sector investment partner for the GBP400 million (US$555.7 million) Weavers Cross mixed-use development project in Belfast, Ireland.
The project will incorporate the new Belfast Transport Hub and will include approximately 1.3 million sq feet of mixed-use office, residential, hotel and retail & leisure space. The private partner needs to have the financial means and relevant experience, skills and resources and will be responsible for the development of 20-acre site.
Graham Construction has been appointed for the 10-month preparation works and is already on site at the Europa bus station and Great Victoria Street train station. In addition, Babcock International is selected to carry out track and signaling enhancements.
