The Ministry of Finance of the government of Qatar has launched a tender for the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance (DBFOM) of six to eight schools.

The project constitutes the first package of Qatar's public-private partnership (PPP) schools development programme, which will see the development of 45 new schools across the country. The programme will be implemented in six packages, which will be offered to the private sector at successive intervals.

The Ministry has invited local and international private parties to take part in a workshop on 28 January where details of the projects will be shared.
