Prime Metroline infrastructure to acquire 25% stake in Manila Water

Prime Metroline Infrastructure Holdings Corporation has announced an agreement to acquire a 25% stake in the Manila Water company Inc. Prime Infra signed a subscription agreement to acquire 820 million shares in Manila Water Company at cost consideration of US$ 210 million.

Manila Water Company, Inc. is the sole provider of water and used water services to over six million people in the East Zone of Metro Manila. It is a subsidiary of the country's oldest conglomerate, Ayala Corporation. The investment will help develop Manila Water to provide more reliable, efficient and sustainable water and wastewater services in the East Zone as well as domestic and international initiative growth.
