Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) have selected EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare (EDIH) for its 1Door4Care: CHEO Integrated Treatment Centre in Ottawa, Canada.
The upcoming treatment center is set to amalgamate 7 distinct care facilities, presently leased and spread across Ottawa, into a unified, cutting-edge, purpose-constructed establishment situated on CHEO's primary Smyth Road campus. This new site will encompass versatile clinic areas, a rehabilitative physiotherapy gym, expanded mental health clinics, both indoor and outdoor spaces where educators and therapists synergize education and therapy, secure quarters for children and adolescents grappling with intricate emotional needs, contemporary treatment rooms tailored to youngsters with behavioral requirements, advanced virtual care technology, a physical link to the main campus edifice, areas for family support, a novel parking structure, and more.
IO and CHEO are currently in the process of finalizing contractual specifics with EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare (EDIH). The project is poised to attain financial completion in the impending weeks, signifying the formalization of relevant agreements and the establishment of financing terms.
