The Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF), has declared A1 YACHT TRANSPORT CONSORTIUM S.A. (YACHT TRADE CONSORTIUM S.A.) as the Preferred Investor for the concession of port operation services and the right to use, operate, and manage and exploit the assets within the land and sea zone of Argostoli Marina for at least 40 years.
The offer includes a one-time fee of EUR 1.5 million (US$ 1.6 million) and an annual return of 1.9% of the gross revenues from the marina's operation. The company plans to invest over EUR 30 million (US$ 32.1 million) in upgrading and maintaining the infrastructure. These investments will significantly enhance the existing facilities and improve the marina's land area through the construction of buildings and roads. A1 YACHT TRANSPORT CONSORTIUM S.A. aims to strategically develop marine tourism with high-standard facilities, creating a hub for tourism and recreation at Argostoli Marina, thus boosting the development prospects of Kefalonia Island.
Argostoli Marina, located in the bay of Argostoli, is 11 km from Kefalonia's International Airport "Anna Pollatos," and has an estimated capacity of approximately 170 berths, depending on the layout and size of the vessels.
