The Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) has announced the preferred and reserved bidders for the Jubail 3B Independent Water Plant (IWP) in Jubail City, Saudi Arabia. The preferred bidder is a consortium of Engie-Nesma-Ajlan, and the reserved bidder is a consortium of Aqualia-Haaco-Alfanar.
The project will include a desalination plant, storage tanks for one-day production as well as in-house solar power to reduce the power consumption from the network. The desalination plant will have a capacity of 570 thousand m3/day and will serve potable water to Riyadh and Qassim.
