Preferred bidder selected for Delhi – Meerut Rapid Transit System project

National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has announced L&T Construction’s Heavy Civil Infrastructure as preferred bidder for the Delhi-Meerut Rapid Transit System project. The project includes the development of a regional rapid transit system between Delhi and Meerut.

The scope of works involves the construction of 32km of a viaduct and seven elevated stations. The project is part of 82km Delhi – Gaziabad – Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) line in Uttar Pradesh.

The project will offer 160km/h railway line between New Delhi and Tier-2 cities in adjoining states.
