The Ministry of Health of the Government of British Columbia (Canada) has announced that it has awarded the North Island hospitals PPP project to the consortium Tandem Health Partners.
The team Tandem Health Partners beat out competition from two other teams that were shortlisted in April 2013.
The winning consortium is formed by: Balfour Beatty Capital - Canada Inc., Gracorp Capital Advisors Ltd., Connor Clark & Lunn GVest Traditional Infrastructure LP, Graham Design Builders LP, Farmer Construction Ltd., Stantec Inc., and Honeywell International Inc.

The North Island Hospitals Project includes a new 95"bed hospital in Campbell River and a new hospital in the Comox Valley with capacity for up to 153 beds. These two state-of-the-art-hospitals will:
The estimated capital cost for the project is of CAD$600 million. All health"care services will continue to be funded by the Province and delivered by Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA). The selected partner will design, build, finance and maintain the new infrastructure to be put in place.
