The long-delayed D4 motorway PPP project in the Czech Republic is moving forward and the preferred bidder is expected to be selected in August this year.

The tender was launched in 2018 and the shortlist was announced at the end of 2018.

The project entails the design, construction, finance, operation and maintenance of a 32 km, four-lane section of the D4 highway connecting Háje with Mirotice, plus the operation and maintenance of adjacent sections with a total length of 17 km. The highway is 84 km in total, linking Prague to the south-west of Bohemia, in the Czech Republic. Around 50 km are currently in operation.
