Transport Malta has launched a pre-qualification questionnaire to interested private partners for the Marsascala marina PPP concession.
The aim of the project is to develop the marina into a yachting center, with the aim to make the area more appealing for the tourism sector. The selected partner will be responsible for the design, build, finance, operate, maintain and transfer of the marina project. The estimated investment is EUR183 million (US$213.8 million), while the concession period will be 50 years. The scope of works involves the installation of pontoons, mooring bays, and other infrastructure together with the necessary and ancillary equipment and safety installations.
