Infrastructure Alberta in Canada has decided to opt-out of the PPP procurement option for the development of the K-9 schools project. The project included development of five schools across Alberta. The authority opted out of PPP option due to problems faced by similar school projects in the state.

The government will now borrow money to complete the construction works for the project. The project timeline is also accelerated and construction works will begin in September 2020.
