Power Grid signs agreement for acquisition of 74% stake in Jaypee Powergrid Ltd
Power Grid Corp. India Ltd (PGCIL) has signed a Share Purchase Agreement to acquire 74 % from Jaiprakash Power Ventures Limited (JPVL) in Jaypee Powergrid Ltd (JPL).
JPL owns and operates a 214 km transmission link to supply electricity from the Karcham-Wangtoo hydropower project in Himachal Pradesh to Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
