Poland signs concession for first stage of RKS Skra stadion PPP project in Warsaw

The City of Warsaw has signed a concession agreement with a consortium of Tamex Obiekty Sportowe and Gardenia Sport for the first stage of modernization of the RKS Skra stadion revitalization project in Warsaw, Poland.

The JV will be responsible for the following works:

  • Revitalization of the main stadium, which includes the development of four 400 m tracks, 500-seat capacity stand as well as stands for pole vault, long jump and triple jump runway, a high jump, discus, hammer, javelin and shot put;
  • Development of training stadium with two stands for shot put, discus and hammer throw, javelin throw, full-size rugby pitch, two full-size basketball courts, one volleyball court, and beach volleyball court;
  • Development of recreation and sports zone with a running track and a park zone with connection to Pole Mokotowskie.

The estimated investment value of the first phase of the concession is PLN52 million (US$11.67 million). The consortium will begin a detailed concept study in September 2022 and plans to finish design documentation by July 2023. The construction works for the project are expected to be finished by December 2024.
