Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs in Montenegro has delayed the Request for Qualifications for two concessions - Podgorica and Tivat airports. There are no new dates set up for the submission of qualifications.

Podgorica is an international airport serving the Montenegrin capital of Podgorica and the surrounding region. The airport is located 11 km south of central Podgorica, in the Zeta Plain, one of the few flat areas of Montenegro suitable for a large airport.

Tivat airport is located right next to the city of Tivat, 8 km from the center of Kotor, and 20 km north-west of Budva, one of the most popular tourist destinations on the eastern Adriatic coast. The sole runway of the airport ends just 88 m from the coastline of the Bay of Kotor.

The schemes of both concessions comprise a period ranging between 25 and thirty years.

Tivat airport has issues with airport land ownership. The Ministry is currently entangled in several lawsuits brought by private landowners seeking compensation for assets seized by the state in the 1950s and 1960s. The Prime Minister has reportedly directed the Transport Ministry to resolve these issues using administrative methods, rather than by compensating owners.
