Wates and London’s Brent Council have approved a development deal to construct 304 homes in Wembley, UK.
The project aims to produce new residences, employment opportunities, leisure, retail, and workspaces improving the public realm and increasing accessibility for pedestrians, cyclists, and other road users.
The GBP100 million (US$122 million) project plan was created by a design team under the direction of Karakusevic Carson Architects. The Wembley Housing Zone is designated and partially funded by the Mayor of London. The new construction by The Wates Group will also have communal floor space and business spaces and 152 residences will be up for private sale on the Cecil Avenue plot. The remaining 152 homes on Cecil Avenue and Ujima House will mix low- and middle-income housing options for council tenants.
Brent Council and Wates Group are currently constructing 99 council homes in Church End. Moreover, Knowles House and Anansi House just received the delivery of 149 homes.
