London’s Camden Council has planned for the development of two adjacent former light industrial sites at Camley Street and Cedar Way in London, UK.
London's Camden Council is progressing with a GBP470 million (US$582 million) mixed-use scheme near Kings Cross. The development aims to rejuvenate two adjacent former light industrial sites, covering approximately 3.56 acres, at Camley Street and Cedar Way. The project includes the construction of 135 council homes funded by private flats and office spaces for life sciences and technology companies, primarily at Cedar Way.
The council is seeking a development partner to lead the project, with an expected investment of GBP270 million (US$334 million) for the construction of homes and offices across the sites. The Cedar Way Site will be leased to the developer for 250 years, generating capital receipts to support the council's self-delivery of 120-136 Camley Street.
